Kamil Galazka: The Mathematician
Kamil Galazka is one of the few students who made it into the top 20, one of 21 this year in fact, as he is ranked number 11. When asked to describe his senior year in three words, kamil said “Fast, unique, fun.” With his biggest challenge this year being “waking up on time” according to him, with a solution of just having a better plan for his schedule. Some of Kamil’s favorite classes he took in High School were calculus, because of his love for the subject and a great teacher, and ceramics, which brought out his more artistic side.
As of next semester, Kamil will be attending Stony Brook University, a popular one for Lindenhurst students, however not an easy one to get into, being one of the most prestigious SUNY schools, admission is something anyone should be proud of. Kamil will be majoring in electrical engineering. He didn’t have any extra curriculars, but his main hobby is playing videogames. The teacher that impacted Kamil the most was Mr. Martinez, as “he always encouraged me to be a better student” according to Kamil. When asked what the most important thing he learned at Lindy was, he said “To never give up.” The most important lesson that Kamil Learned during the Covid 19 Pandemic was “Never take things for granted” and the biggest challenge he had faced during his time at Lindenhurst Senior High School was “trying new things.”
