Philip Bullock: The Mechanical Engineer
Philip Bullock has worked hard through Lindenhurst High School to receive the honor of being placed fifteenth in the top twenty of his graduating class 2021.
Philip is not committed yet but has plans of going to Cornell, Stonybrook, or RIT for mechanical engineering. He’s in the science club, film club, and outdoor gardening club. He’s also a part of the football and basketball team.
Philip says that Mr. Ditomasso (Pre AP World and AP World) left the most impact on him. The most important lesson he has learned throughout the 4 years of LHS is that your results are based on the effort put in. Some of his favorite classes that he has taken are AP World, AP Calc, and AP Physics. Philip calls this past school year ¨Painful, short and challenging¨. The most difficult part of remote learning for him was the lack of connection between teachers and students, but extra studying time helped achieve this. The biggest challenge for Philip other than the pandemic is balancing all of his AP classes. He says that this pandemic has helped him realize that health and family are more important than everything. Philip is excited to see what is in store for him in mechanical engineering in the future.
