Broadway has always been an escape for New Yorkers, and has been a major source of entertainment in the city that everyone loves. Though because of Covid, Broadway musicals have been postponed or closed, but to come back to everyday entertainment again there have been major changes to Broadway theaters.
Safety
In theaters because of recent events there are strongly respected safety tactics enacted. There has been a background check by validation of ID, vaccination check, and a mask mandate inside the theater. These new rules have grown in more theaters because of the law made by New York State that vaccinated people only can enter open public used buildings including restaurants and theaters. People now in theaters need to show vaccinated identification to keep themselves and everyone around them safe. The methods will be strictly used for long periods of time to keep these theaters open since the initial closing of Broadway did cause many actors to lose their jobs.

With all these changes people in New York are still worried to still even think if it is worth going to a musical in these conditions and if they are even still good. From true experiences it can truly be stated that New York theaters and musicals have never shined brighter than in this time of darkness. The theaters themselves bring aspects of the show into the audience with certain decorations and special effects, and theaters are also clean and sanitized for the audience. The musicals as always are stunning, bringing back amazing musical actors that have recently come back to work since the pandemic started and are doing anything to stay in the limelight of the stage. Everyone needs to see a musical to lighten up their days and even though Covid has hurt the musical industry it won’t give up ever without a fight.
