Vans may be best known for skating apparel, but the brand has definitely been expanding its horizons throughout 2018. Within just the past couple months, Vans has been releasing a lot of new shoe collections including their new All-Weather SK8-Hi MTE collection, a collaboration with North Face on snowboarding boots, and even a collaboration with NASA known as their “Space Voyager” line of sneakers.

Perhaps the most interesting of their newest releases is their Vans MTE collection, which was released just in time for the winter months. Although the shoes in this line don’t look very different from classic Vans high tops, these Vans are actually weather proof. The shoes are constructed for heat retention as well as moisture management. Vans MTE stands for Vans Mountain Edition which is a very fitting name considering these shoes will keep you warm and dry in cold and wet conditions, like on a mountain. If that’s not cool enough, some shoes in the SK8-Hi MTE collection also have a BOA lacing system (a wire that is cranked tight by turning a knob). They’re available at any Vans store and at vans.com, prices ranging from $90 to $130.

In need of a new pair of snowboarding boots? Vans has got you covered. The brand has both a winter boot collection as well as a recently released snowboarding boot collection which was made as a collaboration with North Face. The Vans snowboarding boots are the first snowboarding boots to be equipped with FlashDry technology and they have a Vans Flex Control System which makes them more flexible than most snowboarding boots. Just like theMTE collection, the snowboarding boots are constructed for heat retention as well as moisture management, and they have a BOA closure system. You can find them at any Vans store and at vans.com, prices ranging from about $200 to about $400.

Recently it seems like every brand has been releasing NASA themed clothing, and Vans has jumped on the bandwagon as well with their new Space Voyager collection. This limited-edition collection was released on November 2nd and includes a fun variety of styles inspired by NASA. The collection was created for NASA’s 60th anniversary and as of now the collection is available at any Vans store and at vans.com, prices ranging from $85 to $110.
