Songs to Blast in the Car
It’s hard picking just five songs to share, but it’s also hard exposing your playlist. My favorite genre is EDM, though it ranges and includes a lot of chill, vibey music that’s just cool to listen to. Now that summer’s almost here, it’s a perfect time for cruising down the highway in your car with the speakers up and the windows down. Here’s five songs to blast in the car, each with its unique way of sound:
-
Right Back by: Khalid – Perhaps my favorite artist, this is one of many off his new album “Free Spirit.” He starts his first worldwide arena tour this summer, perfect timing to learn all the words before you see him. His voice is angelic so pro tip: blast it so you can’t hear your own voice while you sing.
-
Chances by: KAYTRANADA – A song, and an artist, not too well known, but I’m glad I discovered it. It’s a chill vibe song, slower than most on this list but still has a fairly fast beat. It’s mellow and can be a nice background song on your way home driving as the sun starts to set.
-
Sucker by: Jonas Brothers – A comeback song, no doubt. But a very good one of that. It’s a great summer hit that you just want to sing along with in the car at the top of your lungs with the windows down. Good, simple lyrics matched with a nice beat. It’s a nostalgic feeling with just a pure feeling of having a good time.
-
Catchfire by: Spada – EDM, my favorite genre. It’s not hardcore rave stuff but it’s certainly a fun time. When the beat drops, it’s just fitting to roll your windows down and turn the volume as loud as it can go. It may blast your eardrums to oblivion, but hey, that’s the point.
-
My Strange Addiction by: Billie Eilish – Another favorite artist of mine, this is from her new, first album “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?” This song is playful with fun lyrics. Billie’s voice is clear yet soft, a take on alternative indie pop. There’s a nice background of music and beats that complement the flow of vocals.
