Fall Festivals on Long Island!

Once again we reach that time of year, the time when the air is crisp, and crimson colored leaves fall at our feet. This beautiful time of year is Fall! There are many activities and events that happen in the autumnal season, whether it be attending a haunted house or carving a pumpkin. Yet, nothing can compare to the fun times spent at a fall farm or festival! Long Island is one of the best locations to celebrate the fall season. There is a variety of farms on the east end of Long Island whether it is in Wading River or Patchogue. These farms include apple picking, pumpkin picking and other various activities. These exciting and family friendly activities include wandering through corn mazes, buying baked pies and homemade jam, and kid friendly petting zoos! Below are festivals you can attend and some information about each farm!

White Post Farms Fall Farm Festival- Melville September 21st- October 27th

White Post Farms is a family friendly destination in Melville, Long Island. It has pumpkin picking, entertainment, hay rides and farm animals. Admission to The Fall Festival comes with six spectacular shows! The Great Stage Show, Tricks For Treats Exotic Bird Show, Mutts Gone Nuts, Nick’s Kids Show, The Magic of Jim McClenahan, and Anastasini Variety Show. This festival also includes Sing-A-Long Hayrides, Unlimited Use of Our Bounce ‘N Slides, Famous Animal Farm, Singin’ Chicken Show, Animal Farm Jamboree Show, use of the playground areas, use of our picnic tables, Play-In-The-Hay, and entry to Ronnie’s Birdie Landing Poppie’s Lorikeet Landing Free Flight  Aviaries. For all of the foodies they also have fall favorites such as festival foods, pies, roasted corn, and more!

Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery- Haunted Hatchery  October 26 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

A not so spooky event for young kids, Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery will be hosting a Haunted Hatchery in which families can walk through the hatchery and aquarium. Kids will receive a yummy treat and can look forward to making Halloween themed crafts. There will also be a variety of games and other fun events families can participate in.

Montauk Fall Festival – Montauk, NY – Oct 12 to Oct 13, 2019 11:00am to 5:00pm

On the very end of our happy island, Montauk will be hosting a festival that will include live music, Long Island beers, free carousel, foods, contests, and more! On Saturday the 12th, a Clam Chowder contest will be held at the festival to determine this years best Chowder! A sports memorabilia auction as well as a Chinese auction will also be held at the festival. If pumpkin decorating, crab racing, and Oktoberfest foods sound good to you then the Montauk Fall festival is the place to be!

Finks Fall Festival: September 14th through October 9:30-5pm (Weekends Only)

Some of Finks main attractions for the festival are the Animal Farm,Barn O’Corn, Bounce Houses, Character Appearances (11AM-4PM), Live Music (12PM-4PM), Combine Slide, Pig Races (Every hour, 11AM-5PM), Picnic Area (Outside food and beverage is permitted; no alcohol or hot trays), Playground Areas, Bathroom Facilities, and Jump Pillow. Finks also have fun attractions every day including a pumpkin farm, a corn maze, live music, donkey rides, a pumpkin slingshot, corn hole, and various other fall themed games! Finks also has a variety of farm fresh vegetables, pies, jams, and other homemade products.
