Gift Guide for a Writer

Mugs

Writers are often fueled by a drink of choice; mugs are a fun gift because you can fill it with candy, pens, a gift card.. You can be as creative as you want! Also, getting a mug of something that they like, writing or otherwise, adds an equally heartfelt element.

Bluetooth Phone Keyboard

Sometimes, bringing a laptop somewhere just isn’t going to happen. The perfect solution is a bluetooth phone keyboard. They come in different styles- some can light up, some can fold- there are even ones styled like typewriter keyboards, for those with an affinity for vintage items.

Scrivener

For those who write longer pieces, Scrivener is a computer software that is incredibly helpful to a writer. It breaks down books by chapters, has a section for character sheets and describing places, and allows outside resource imports.

The Writer’s Block Journal

Of course, any journal is a great gift for a writer, but this one has a bit of a humorous twist- from the front, it looks like a plain block of wood with the words ‘Writer’s Block’ written on it. Inside, of course, is a normal journal. At just $14.05, it’s an amusing gift that’s helpful, too!

Fountain Pens

If the writer in mind enjoys handwriting instead of using a computer, a nice fountain pen set may be the perfect gift for them! They come in many different styles, from simple to decorative to personalized, so you’re sure to find one that suits them.

Writing Swag

There’s no shortage of writing accessories and clothing out there. There are quotes from famous authors, jokes about common writing problems- they even sell shirts with entire books printed on them. If your writer is a fan of a printed tee or a cute bracelet, there are more than enough options out there to choose from.
