Christmas time is such a fun time for families and friends to get together and celebrate the holidays! There have been so many great Christmas songs that have been written and produced throughout the years. Some might even say that the Christmas songs are the best part of the holiday season. Let’s get to ranking!

 

  1. “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”

   This song was written by Edward Pola and George Wyle and was produced by Robert Mersey. The song was released on October 14, 1963. The singer of this great Christmas song is Andy Williams. “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” is featured on William’s album, The Andy Williams Christmas Album. This song definitely puts everyone in the Christmas spirit!

 

  1. “Christmas Time Is Here”

   This song was written by Lee Mendelson and Vince Guaraldi and was produced by Lee Mendelson for the television special, A Charlie Brown Christmas. “Christmas Time Is Here” was released on December 9, 1965. That was also the release date for A Charlie Brown Christmas since the first showing of this song was on that television special. The singers of this Christmas song are the Vince Guaraldi Trio. “Christmas Time Is Here” is featured on the album, A Charlie Brown Christmas. This song is such a classic Christmas song and it always will be.

 

  1. “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas”

   This song was written and produced by Meredith Wilson in 1951. Michael Bublé’s version was released on October 24, 2011.  “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” is featured on Bublé’s album, Christmas. Michael Bublé’s Christmas album is so great and it really puts everyone in the Christmas mood. His Christmas album is one of the best Christmas albums that has been produced!

   This song was written by Irving Berlin and was produced by Robert Emmett Dolan. It was released on July 30, 1942 when being featured in the Christmas movie, Holiday Inn’s, soundtrack. The singer of this Christmas song is Bing Crosby. “White Christmas” is featured on Crosby’s Christmas album, White Christmas. Hearing Bing Crosby’s reminds so many people of Christmas music because of his soft and warm voice. His Christmas album is such a great album to listen to during the holiday season.

 

  1. “Last Christmas”

   This song was written and produced by George Michael. It was released on December 3, 1984. The singers of this Christmas song are the 80’s pop band Wham! “Last Christmas” was never featured on any of Wham!’s albums, but it was released as a single. This Christmas song is overall the best Christmas song of all time. “Last Christmas” always gets people in the Christmas mood and whenever people hear it in stores everyone always has to sing along.
