Chris Elwell

What motivates you or keeps you going?

Something that keeps me motivated on a daily basis is how life is going to carry on no matter what happens. You always have to be ready for anything, and I know what I want to accomplish in my life, so it is important to stay focused and work towards those goals.

What have you learned to appreciate?

I have learned to appreciate the time that I spend with my family because at any moment something can happen and take that away from you. We have seen far too many people lose family members and close relatives due to COVID, which is breaking these families apart since they can’t all be together.

How are you coping or dealing with this time?

I have been dealing with this time by just living the most normal life that I can. I try to do the same things that I used to do before the pandemic started; go to the gym, hang out with friends when it’s safe, and spend time with family. In a time like this, you can’t take anything for granted and you should be trying to find joy in everything that you do.

How has this changed you?

This has changed me because it has helped me realize what is truly important in my life, and what I should cut out. Life is all about trying to make the right choices, and when you have even more time to think than usual, it becomes easier to see what you should continue to focus on to improve yourself. My outtake on life has changed greatly because of COVID, and I feel that this change was for the better.
