The song “No Choice” by Tame Impala is a very interesting song that may not be someone’s first choice but definitely a memorable song that is always a second or third option. “No Choice” has many good and bad aspects, but both equal each other out to the right balance for this song to be unique and different from other genres of music and modern music today. 

Specifically, “No Choice” has many amazing aspects like the tempo, beat, and overall “hook” of the song. The tempo of this song affects much of the song’s mood and overall vibe making it very calming and relaxing for listeners to wind down too. Now, the beat and sound of the song as well is very positive for the song as well making the song very different. The beat and sound of the song drowns out the actual lyrics of the song which is very interesting since the perceived purpose of a song is to showcase the lyrics. 

The negative aspects of the song are very small because of the actual value of the song, but there are still things that may be able to be fixed. For example, the simplicity of the lyrics and how repetitive they may be. Now this isn’t a big issue but more differentiation in the lyrics may be helpful to create a bigger vocabulary in the song itself. 

Now with all this in mind, “No Choice” is still a well recommended song. This song as well showcases a safe space for listeners to relax too and be comfortable with.
