Generally speaking, the lyrics to Love Me More are very simple, especially in the chorus, however it still conveys the very meaningful message to the song. The repetition of the lines “love me more” and “fill me up” add to the overall theme, which is feeling emotionally empty and craving love and affection from others. Mitski’s gentle yet powerful voice on top of her passionate lyrics is what really ties the song together.

Love Me More is deserving of an 8/10 because of how stunning the overall production of the song is. The background music with Mitski’s voice sound stunning together, and this song can be relatable from young teens to adults. Though it’s lyrics are repetitive, it’s what makes the song catchy and maybe even addictive.
