Are you a fan of Tame Impala? Listened to any of their music? Well I would assume you’ve never heard of their under the radar song “No Choice”. Guitarist and member of Tame Impala, Kevin Parker, uses his instrument to put the listener in a vulnerable spirit. It goes to show how he feels about the very message his song represents. Sometimes you feel stuck in the life you are living and it’s hard to get out of it.

The psychedelic sound of “No Choice” can be appealing to certain people, giving the song it’s interesting flair. But some more than others believe the song can sound eerie or uncomfortable at times.

This song falls under the Alternative/Indie genre which attracts teenagers and young adults. The intention for this song to have the lyrics that a young adult or teenager are captivated by, is so they can relate. People who are in their years where their life is just beginning and don’t know where to start, or how to change it, can relay their feelings onto “No Choice” “

“It doesn’t matter if I want to go somewhere new

At the end of the day, I have no choice.”

The hook of the song is quite memorable because it is the one part of the song, repeated a couple times throughout, that you can clearly hear Kevin Parker singing. In the majority of the song the lyrics are incomprehensible. Fortunately, for Tame Impala and those listening, the hook relays a great message.

Another memorable trait about “No Choice” is its ability to appeal to those who didn’t like the song at first, after a few times listening to it. They claim it sounds like a great song to listen to on a drive home from work/or school, a summer day, or even to listen to whilst cleaning around the house. The slow beginning to “No Choice” has one over many hearts of those who are big fans of Tame Impala, or even just discovering the one man band.
