Leadership Honor Scholarship

Michelle Estevez

In Tame Impalas song “No Choice”, the song starts off with an interesting hook. Although the start is a simple beat it gives a good starting point and idea for the rest of the very groovy song. The beat of the song was very consistent, using similar instruments to compliment the relaxed feeling that the lyrics were giving off. Considering that Tame Impalas style is very psychedelic rock/pop that style definitely reflects on this song. Although I think that the theme of the song can be relatable and interchangeable to a large group of people, In my eyes the main theme focuses on a loss of purpose in your life. I also like how the theme is shown continually  throughout the lyrics. Overall I give this song an 8/10 because the only thing that I didn’t really like about the song was the robotic voice that the singer used throughout the song.
