Venice Brought to Lindenhurst

Have you heard of the American Venice?

The American Venice is located on the border of Copiague and Lindenhurst, on Montauk Highway. The American Venice was built in 1926 by Victor Pisani and Isaac Meister. The American Venice project was designed to emulate the grand city of canals, Venice, Italy. It was complete with gondolas and bridges linking the neighborhoods. During the hurricane super storm, Sandy, in 2012 people could not cross the bridge because it was broken. To rebuild back the bridge, it cost 9 million dollars. In 2019, Blue marlins boats finally bought the winged lion posts.
