Leadership Honor Scholarship

Mr. Crifo

As sad as we are to watch our beloved faculty leave, it is lovely to see new ones join the Lindenhurst district. Mr. Joseph Crifo was hired at the start of the school year as one of the new assistant principals at Lindenhurst High School. He makes his presence known in the halls—speaking with students and staff— and making sure everyone is getting to their required classes on time. Some have voiced that Mr. Crifo is “a down-to-earth guy” and “always has a smile on his face.”

While everyone was adjusting to a new school year, Mr. Crifo was kind enough to let CST know a little bit about himself. “I love sports and reading; I still play in an adult’s soccer league and watch [the] Giants, Mets, and Islanders regularly. I’m a huge Stephen King fan and love all types of movies, especially thrillers”, Mr. Crifo said in his interview.

Mr. Crifo has scholarly experience when it comes to teaching and working within the walls of a school. He taught all various levels of Biology before accepting the job in Lindenhurst and taking hold on his career as a teacher. Crifo added that “While I miss teaching, it is very nice to work with students and their families in a different capacity while also getting to support the teachers and staff in whatever ways they need.”

It’s so exciting to have another faculty member in the school who is dedicated to the students of Lindenhurst High School.

Don’t be shy and say “hello” to Mr. Crifo as you pass him in the halls. He enjoys meeting new people and wishes to get to know every one of us during the 2022-23 school year.
