The Batman

There are a lot of movies to choose from for my favorite of 2022, but I think The Batman is the best movie of 2022. When I first saw the announcement of this movie, I was really excited. It was a dark Batman movie, which is what I always wanted. I didn’t set my expectations too high, but I was really hoping this movie could wipe the memory of Ben Affleck’s Batman. Needless to say, this movie changed my perspective on the character. The beginning scene when Batman is seen interrogating and beating up a band of criminals really sets the tone. There is nonstop action in this movie. Paul Dan’os portrayal of The Riddler in this movie is perfect. He is a much darker version of the Riddler and I think that was needed. He made the Riddler seem menacing and a force to be reckoned with. I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys dark environments and a lot of action.
