Top Gun: Maverick

One of my favorite movies from 2022 is, “Top Gun: Maverick,” released on May 27, 2022. Tom Cruise returns to the 2-movie series after the first movie “Top Gun” was released on May 16, 1986. The rating for “Top Gun: Maverick” was 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, putting the movie at the top 20’s list. This action packed adventure and drama franchise was one of the most viewed movies of the year! This movie was one of my favorites because it consists of my two favorite actors, Tom Cruise and Miles Teller. Set 30 years after his career as a TOP GUN pilot, Maverick returns to the Navy-Fighter Weapons School, and he must confront his past as he trains a group of younger pilots. In which they are unaware that the son, Miles Teller, of Maverick’s deceased best friend, Goose, is one of the younger pilots in training to fill the legacy of his father. Maverick’s mission demands the ultimate sacrifice from those chosen to fly it. Tom Cruise has also acted in the outstanding movie series “Mission Impossible,” alongside a few other movies. As for Miles Teller, he has also played a few roles in a movie series known as “Divergent.” Overall, I believe that this movie was incredible and breathtaking, and was filled with a mix of emotions and feelings.
