Jacqueline Kalish: The Traveler
Jacqueline Kalish, a member of the Class of 2019, has achieved high academic status through being ranked twentieth in the Top 20 of her graduating class.
Jacqueline Kalish works very hard in school, reflected by her amazing grades, however, she also leaves time to perform other activities as well. “I work at Patsy’s Bakery which keeps me pretty busy. I am also part of the Color Guard in the Marching Band, National Honor Society, Science Club, Interact Club and Key Club. It’s just a lot of fun to do. With these activities I also get to meet new people and make friends.”
Through her years at LHS, Jackie has become very interested in Math and Biology, and plans to major in either one of them. “It’s scary to think that I will be off to college soon. I am going to miss being part of the Color Guard and being close to all my friends and family.” Along with going to college, in the far future, “I would love to travel the world . . . and own a beach house of course”, Jackie joked.
When Jackie looks back at her senior year she feels that it was “quick, exhausting, and exciting. My whole school year has gone by so fast. I am going to miss it.” LHS has taught Jackie a lot, but the most important thing “was learning to become adaptable and ready for change.”
As Jacqueline says goodbye, “I want to thank all of the teachers at the Lindenhurst High School for pushing me to reach my fullest potential. A teacher that sticks out in my mind is Mrs. Bottachiari who was always so happy in class and cared for her students. She baked for us all the time.” LHS wishes Jacqueline luck in all of her future endeavors. She will be successful in whatever she does.
