Nadiya Dzhavala: The Drafter

During her time in high school, Nadiya Dzhavala has made outstanding achievements such as being able graduate with a rank of ten for the Class of 2019.

Clearly Nadiya has always done well in her studies, and she has done so by staying focused and dedicating herself to doing her best.  Her favorite subjects include Physics, Studio Art and Psychology of Literature. She has been a part of the Art Service Club and the National Art Honor Society and genuinely enjoys making art, particularly sketching. She describes her senior year as “free, new, and exiting.”

Her sense of focus has enabled her to set a goal for her future.  She states, ¨I plan on being a drafter or something in that field.”  she already works within the field; therefore, her current work experience is already shaping her future.  Additionally, Nadiya’s fatih seems to shape her future as well.  “As one of Jehovah´s Witnesses I am involved in a ministry to help others learn about the bible’s hope for the future.¨

When asked where she sees herself in ten years, she responded, “In 10 years I’m not certain where life will take me, but I hope to be satisfied with my choices.”  She has been influenced strongly by her supportive family and friends who have helped her grow and improve.  

When asked what she will miss most about LHS, Nadiya stated, the choice of programs.“I appreciated the variety of courses available because there was something for everyone to enjoy”, Nadiya explained. The most important thing she learned at Lindenhurst High School is “the importance of setting your priorities and aligning your goals with them. Without goals , you don’t have direction so it’s important to find what you value and focus on it.¨
