Internet Safety

Nowadays, we use technology for almost everything. Sometimes human beings don’t even notice that there are some dangerous things about technology or the internet. If we learn about Internet Safety, it can keep us safe in all different ways.

Some of those things that can keep us safe are strong passwords, being careful about what you download, and most importantly assuming you do not know who you are talking to. It might sound really complicated to follow these rules, but it is not. You should always keep your information safe and to yourself. You can do that by putting yourself in privacy settings. Email with caution and never just post something because you think it’s cool. Always think before you post something out on the Internet. Usually kids around 8-11 usually like to use apps that are not the right age for them. That’s called age restriction. It’s not a really good thing to do, so you should just wait a year or two before having the app. It does take some patience, but you are making the right decision. Always ask your parents about things such as if you can get an app, or post something on an app.   Parents should ask kids what apps they are interested in using.  “This can be as simple as asking your child to show you how to use an app they love,”  said Graber, a teacher in California.

You should always remember these tips and advice just in case you don’t know what to do. You should watch out for the Internet sometimes, but if you use common sense you have nothing to worry about.
