Recess
Recess is a period of time in the day where kids can have fun and talk with their friends and get away from school work. Recess is important because if we did not have recess there would be no sports or play time during school. Kids need a break from their school work to just have some fun. Here are some reasons why recess is important. A Pediatric, Dr. Melinda Bossenmeyer stated , “Recess serves as a necessary break from the rigors of concentrated, academic challenges in the classroom. It also offers cognitive, social, emotional, and physical benefits that may not be fully appreciated when a decision is made to diminish it.” Children can gain the opportunity to practice their social skills role-play with their peers at recess. At recess, children learn valuable communication skills.

When kids have recess it helps them work on their social skills and lets students interact with other students. It also helps kids follow their dreams and to have fun.
