Australia Wildfires
Australia wildfires are getting very out of hand!
Australia has over 300 billion animals in all, however, because of wildfires half a million animals have died. The area of Australia is 2.97 million square feet, 8x of the area in Australia is burning, Koalas might go extinct because of the damage the fires have caused. It’s a horrible thing!
According to John Pickrell, “ It’s an ecological disaster never before seen in this nation’s history!” This is really affecting the population of animals, it is a huge problem. Kangaroos are starving, koalas are burning, and crocodiles are dying because there is hardly any water to drink or live in!
It has threatened over 100 species of animals. It may even make at least 50 of those species extinct. According to Sybilla Gross, “As many as a billion animals have been killed in Australia’s wildfires since September, scientist said, doubling his earlier estimate as the unprecedented scale of the crisis in the world’s driest inhabited continent continued to emerge.”
