Love is Blind Season Two (Minor Spoilers)

Love is Blind is a Netflix Show hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey which brings singles to try and find a connection and fall in love without ever seeing each other, until one proposes to the other. There are 10 men and women and they all date each other in these individual pods. They can’t see each other and have to make a connection on a more emotional level, rather than physical. Once a couple finds an emotional connection strong enough to propose to one another, they can finally meet each other face to face.

The second season of Love is Blind was filmed in the spring of 2021 and was released on February 11th with a five-episode drop. Later, on February 18th, four more episodes were released on Netflix.

Compared to season one, season two was more drama-focused and packed with unexpected twists and turns. After ten days of speed dating each other for 10 minutes a day, the matches will get engaged. The couples that made it out of the pods were Abhishek (Shake) and Deepti, Nick and Danielle, Jarrette and Iyanna, Kyle and Shaina, Salvador and Mallory, and finally Shayne and Natalie. They headed to a getaway at TRS Coral Hotel in Cancun Mexico, until they head off to the real world. While on vacation they get to know each other, meanwhile some reconsidered their decision.

When face to face with reality the couples are tested to meet each other’s families and live in an apartment together. Each couple struggled with their challenges, whether that was arguments, trust issues, or family problems. All the women on the show had a joint bachelorette party with each other, having the opportunity to invite their personal friends as well and the same thing happened for the men. Finally, after four weeks, each couple went to the altar with their match either saying “I do” or “I don’t”.

Two out of 6 couples got married in season two and are still happily together to this day. The reunion episode was filmed in February and aired on March 4th. After a chaotic season, each contestant was able to speak their mind during the reunion and spiked more internet entertainment for the viewers. It is rumored that there is a season 3 filmed and ready to premiere any time soon, but until then is love truly blind?
