At Lindenhurst High School there are many upcoming musical talents which are showcased in the musicals, band, orchestra, and chorus. On March 18th and 19th at 7 pm, those talents were used to create the wonderful production of The Addams Family Musical. This production was heart-warming, comedic, and extraordinary. This musical tells the story of a family that is so abnormal, but has all of the qualities families around the world want. 

Months of rehearsal and preparations were made for this production, and many sacrifices were made by many students and teachers, but it was all worth it. The musical had a large amount of crowds that were all up on their feet and clapping by the end of the production. The production was very entertaining, having excellent upcoming actors embrace their characters and making everyone in the audience tear up from laughing. There was a great connection and chemistry between the actors, making the play comfortable for the audience. Another memorable aspect of the production was the playfulness of the actors, which was magnificent, interacting with the audience as if they were part of the show. 

Behind the scenes of the production was interesting, giving the students that don’t want to be in the limelight a chance to fix the limelight. There was a dedicated stage crew creating many of the props and backgrounds and spending hours helping their actors get ready for the show as well. Lastly, another point is that the music in this musical was phenomenal with help from both band and orchestra. There was amazing sound to capture the intensity of the moments on stage. 

All of the amazing work and effort put into the show were mentioned and honored by the audience and the cast for giving them such a memorable experience. The Addams Family Performance was truly a 10/10 showing and now there is  anticipation for the next performance.
