It is officially Christmas season and many people love to go away for the holidays. If you’re someone who loves crazy holiday displays and light shows, crafts and activities, here are some of many places to visit for Christmas.

Park City, Utah is truly like a real life winter wonderland. Throughout the season they have holiday markets, sleigh rides, and even parades. Park City is located up in the snowy mountains so there are also many places to ski and snowboard.

Duluth, Minnesota presents a massive light display that is free to the public from November to December. They also have a wonderful Christmas village, and the views from the train ride along Lake Superior are amazing.

Essex Connecticut is also a great place to visit if you’re more northeast. For the holiday season they have a North Pole Express train, a holiday train show, and many shops at a holiday village.

If you’re looking to travel far, Germany is home to many amazing towns for the holidays. With the cold weather, snow and numerous festivals everywhere you go your heart will be filled with holiday joy.

Another typical place everyone visits for the holidays, close or far is New York City, New York. New York City is known for being home to the Rockets and the infamous tree. There is ice skating alongside the tree and many shops and bakeries to keep you busy for days.
