Nvidia Reveals New Series of Graphics Cards

Nvidia Reveals New Series of Graphics Cards

On September 1st, graphics card manufacturer Nvidia revealed their new series of graphics cards that were set to release this year. The main thing they boasted was more performance for a cheaper price. Before this event, the highest end graphics card you could buy from them was the Gefore RTX 2080 Ti for a hefty price of about $1,199. For less than half the price, you could get a graphics card with the same power in all of your favorite graphics-intensive games and apps.

However, when two of the new graphics cards, the RTX 3080 and 3090, were available for sale, they went out of stock almost everywhere in under a day, and now the only way to buy them is on eBay for ridiculous prices.

Nvidia saw the backlash they received on the internet for not having enough stock for all of the people that wanted it, and on October 1st, Nvidia announced that they will be delaying the launch of their new Geforce RTX 3070.

According to Nvidia, “We know this may be disappointing to those eager to purchase a GeForce RTX 3070 as soon as possible, however this shift will help our global partners get more graphics cards into the hands of gamers on launch day.”

The Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 will release on October 29th for $499, and hopefully without a scalpers problem.

However, when it comes to the other graphics cards in their new series, it’s a completely different story.

Nvidia also announced that they would stop selling their Gefore RTX 3080 and 3090 on their official website for the time being, so the only way to buy them now is via a third party like Asus, or pay the hefty prices of scalpers on eBay.

With both of these in mind, users looking forward to a shiny new graphics card for their system, whether that reason be to play the newest games like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War or Watchdogs: Legion, or for more creative reasons, are definitely going to be disappointed from this news. Hopefully they stock up sooner and get around this problem as soon as possible.
