In around 2019, the 7-11 next to Super Cuts on Sunrise Highway closed down. The property was soon bought by HummusFit, a new healthy food market. The business has had two previous locations in the community. They have stores in Deer Park, Selden, Holbrook, Islip, and Ronkonkoma. HummusFit announced their soft opening to be March 14, 2022, with a grand opening March 19, 2022! 

HummusFit is a store known for their protein packed, pre-made meals. Similar to a supermarket, they have a breakfast section as well as dinners and desserts. Some of the breakfasts provided are muffins, egg frittatas, and different pancakes. For dinners, they have buffalo chicken mac & cheese, greek chicken, steak, tacos, and more. They also have overnight oats and protein snacks. In the back of the store they sell their own merchandise as well!  

Unfortunately, the Lindehurst HummusFit does not have delivery service, but their other locations do. The other locations also give you the option to order a salad or quinoa bowl, so hopefully those luxieries will be introduced to our own HummusFit soon. The Lindenhurst location gives you the option to heat your food and eat in the store, and they also have a small eating area if you want to stay and grab a meal with a friend or family member. Overall, this new business seems to be a great addition to our town, and you can go checkout the store at 38 East Sunrise Highway!
