All About Spring Flowers

Its finally spring time, so it’s time to start planting some flowers! People start planting flowers in their gardens when the weather gets warmer so their gardens have colorful flowers all throughout the season. 

Sunflowers can be planted right when the weather gets warm. Different sunflowers can grow to be different sizes and all they need is water and the sun to grow. A common month for sunflowers to start to bloom is in August.

Tulips are a type of flower that grows in the springtime. Tulips come in all different colors such as red, yellow, pink, white, and purple. Tulips bloom in the months of March and April and they last for about one to two weeks.

Asters bloom from mid-spring well into summer. They can last for several weeks and grow up to six feet tall. Fun Fact: Asters have no noticeable floral scent.

Daisies start to bloom in the late spring and manage for around four to six weeks. The common daisy is very easy to recognize, with white petals and a bright yellow center. The average height of a daisy is two feet.

Daffodils are one of a kind, in that they bloom in the late winter or early spring. Depending on where you live, they can bloom for about six weeks to six months. Daffodils can grow to twelve to sixteen inches in height, and fields of daffodils can last for decades.

Snapdragons bloom in the cool of spring and fall. In cooler climates, they bloom all throughout the summer and in more mild climates, they can sometimes bloom through winter. Snapdragons come in so many beautiful colors such as, peach, yellow, red, pink, and purple. They can be around sixteen to 24 inches in height. People have said that snapdragons smell kind of like bubblegum.
