If you pay any attention to what is happening in the NFL, you’d notice something a bit strange. It is not the terrible calls or the outrageous fines players receive, but the job nobody has offered Colin Kaepernick. Colin Kaepernick is the free agent quarterback that has started the controversial “take a knee” movement. The controversial movement has filed a grievance against the National Football League’s team owners for alleged collusion to keep him out of the league.
During last years’ NFL preseason game against the San Diego Chargers, Kaepernick took a knee during the National Anthem. “When there’s significant change and I feel that flag represents what it’s supposed to represent, and this country is representing people the way its supposed to, I’ll stand.” Kaepernick said in 2016. Debate about if he is in the wrong is still happening today. The controversial topic doesn’t seem as though it is going to die down anytime soon due to more athletes and celebrities supporting Colin.
Colin Kaepernick has filed a grievance report against the NFL on Sunday against the NFL owners for collusions to keep him out of the league. Now you might just be thinking that’s crazy or he is a bad player? Or is he being kept out of the NFL because of politics? Well he might not be the best, but compared to the others he isn’t the worst. Colin Kaepernick has lead his team to a Superbowl and has put up some decent stats throughout the year. According to NFL Colin’s last season shows that he put up 2,241 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and only 4 interceptions not the best, but very good considering the lackluster of talent on his offense. With a team that is in desperate need of a Quarterback that Colin could thrive in; why would they sign a player like Brandon Weeden? Weeden has thrown 1,043 yards, 5 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, and to top it off the man hasn’t played in a year.
If you still don’t think Colin has the reason to file a grievance report against the NFL owners then why has he been removed from the new Madden18 video game? Colin was on the free agent roster so players could use him, but he was suddenly been removed without a reason why. It seems that NFL are trying to put a lot of distance between themselves and a good football player, Colin Kaepernick.
