Once she meets a boy named Wes, Macy turns into a new, more confident person. This is a beautifully written, relatable book that has a happy ending.
Today Tonight Tomorrow: Written by Rachel Lynn Solomon, this book is about academic rivals to lovers. Rowan Roth and Neil McNair have been academic rivals since freshman year. When Neil becomes valedictorian, Rowan only has one choice: to win Howl, a scavenger hunt game held for the seniors. Rowan spends a lot of time with Neil and soon realizes that he isn’t all that bad. This is a funny, lighthearted story.
Me Before You: Written by Jojo Moyes, this book is about Louisa Clark and Will Traynor’s relationship. When Louisa is struggling to find a job, she applies for a job to help Will, who is a quadriplegic. At first, Will is rude to Louisa. As they get to know each other, their relationship flourishes. This story has a tragic ending when Louisa finds out about Will’s plans. This is a heartbreaking book, but amazing nonetheless.
Five Feet Apart: Written by Racheal Lippincott, this book is about Stella Grant and Will Newman, two teens who have cystic fibrosis. They meet when they are both in the hospital. Despite being placed in the same hospital, they keep seeing each other. They gradually spend more time together and fall in love. However, they cannot touch each other and have to stay 6 feet apart at all times. This is an adorable book with a bittersweet ending and should definitely be on your list of books to read next.
