Every year here at Lindenhurst High School, a Safe Halloween is hosted for families where the clubs decorate around the school. Families walk throughout the school through the decorations done by our clubs and collect candy in a safe way for their children. With Safe Halloween being a tradition here at Lindenhurst, it ensures a safe way for children to get candy without any harm coming to them. People from all around the community have a great time at this school event, thanks to our hardworking students here at Lindenhurst High School.

Last year’s Safe Halloween took place on October 27, 2023. Families were welcome inside the school, as kids walked around safely collecting candy from our clubs just having a great time. Last year’s Safe Halloween event even featured a haunted house where screams could be heard from down the hall. If you took a look into the cafeteria there was a dance party hosted for the children with great music playing. The school put a lot of effort into ensuring a safe and fun Halloween for the Lindenhurst residents. Last year’s safe Halloween is one you won’t forget.

This year’s Safe Halloween will take place on October 30th  2024, so make sure you tell your families and bring your siblings. If you aren’t in a club still feel free to help out with the planning and decorating or join the newspaper club and be part of the team. The newspaper club meets every Tuesday after school in room 134, so if you are interested in joining and helping with Safe Halloween come after school. When walking throughout the school you can see smiles filled with joy coming from those families. This is one school event you sure don’t want to miss!
