There was a rush to figure out how to stop the destructive fires spreading across Los Angeles. Following these fires, there were many ways created for people to show their support and donate to those in need. Whether it be a go fund me, or simply sending someone well wishes, support was deeply needed at this time.
As an effort to help raise money for the individuals affected, there were FireAid beneficial concerts, which included amazing artists that want to help this cause through performance. The concerts took place at the KIA Forum and the Intuit Dome on January 30th. The artists that performed at the Kia Forum were Billie Eilish and Finneas, Dave Matthews and John Mayer, Earth, Wind and Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Jelly Roll, Joni Mitchell, and Katy Perry. The artists that performed at the Intuit Dome were Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, P!nk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, Sting, and Tate McRae.
In the following days, more artists were announced for both venues. The FireAid foundation also has links to allow people to donate. The company announced the current line up of artists along with promises of more artists to be determined, in hopes to pull in massive crowds, sell large amounts of tickets, and raise as much money as possible. The money raised was distributed and donated to many different charities and associations. They also donated money towards research that will hopefully prevent future fires and devastating disasters.
During these difficult times, everyone should try to show support to those affected by these fires!
