The idea of time travel has been around for centuries. In 1895, H.G Wells wrote a novel called The Time Machine, which popularized the whole concept of time travel and brought it into the public imagination. Every human being on earth could only dream of being brought back into the past to relive a past memory or shot into the future to experience what our future will come to be. What if I told you that the idea of time travel might actually be a reality? Many may laugh or shake off the thought of humans ever being able to travel through space and time. However, there is proof that time travel may exist in the future or possibly even right now.

Throughout the many years, we have gotten multiple documents such as videos, pictures, and newspaper clippings to prove that time travel may actually exist. The Lady on the Phone is one of the many documents out there that have gotten people wondering. In a scene from Charlie Chaplin’s 1928 movie The Circus, a woman is seen walking in the background while talking on what actually looks like a mobile phone. Some have commented that she is shielding her vision from the sun, but with a closer look at the video, she actually looks like she is talking to it. According to www.abcnews.com, “The first commercial cell phones didn’t hit the market until the early 1980’s.” So, how is it possible for the woman found in the 1928 film to be using a cell phone that didn’t even exist until the 1980’s? She could possibly be a time traveler who went back in time to the date in which that movie was made.

The Hipster Time Traveler is another widely known document that proves time travel is a possibility. Although it had been proven to be a fake, it still wins a spot in the article for the amazing uproar it caused. A simple photograph from the 1940’s showed nothing unusual for the time period except for one man. This photo has actually been circulating the internet since 2010! The reason everyone believed that the Time Traveling Hipster was real, was because of three different pieces of clothing. The man was wearing a shirt with a logo on it, sunglasses, and was holding a small camera. Everyone else in the photo was wearing suits and dresses causing the man to look completely out of place. However, according to www.Snopes.com, “all of those items were readily available in the 1940’s.” Sadly with further research, this was proven to be true. So, although this man looked way out of place, he did actually belong to that time period.

Of course, no one can ever forget The Self-proclaimed Time Traveler. On January 28th, 2003, a man by the name of Andrew Carlssin was arrested for what seemed to be alleged insider trading. Andrew Carlssin invested $800 in different businesses only to make $350 million in two weeks! The police had arrested him and brought him into questioning. It was in question that Andrew Carlssin had actually admitted to time traveling. He said he was from the year 2256 and he was just visiting 2003. No one was even close to believing his theory of time travel and with that, he was put in jail. However, the strange thing was he didn’t stay in jail for long. According to www.indiatimes.com, “But his stay didn’t extend beyond a month thanks to a mystery man who paid $1 million in bail money.” Carlssin disappeared after that and has been impossible to trace. The authorities even searched for possible aliases. How is it possible for a man to disappear right after getting out of jail?
