The first trailer for the most anticipated film of 2018 has arrived, already becoming the top trailer of the year on YouTube, gaining over 88 million views in just under a week. Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of 10 years of Marvel films, with over 67 characters being featured, and an untitled sequel due to follow in 2019. The marvel cinematic universe has released seventeen films so far, beginning with Iron Man in 2008. Avengers: Infinity War and it’s sequel is the conclusion to an amazing story about a group of remarkable people laying it all down on the line to protect the Earth from destruction. Popular heroes returning to the big screen for this huge superhero team-up include Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and Paul Bettany as Vision. Newer characters introduced to the MCU who will play major roles include Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther. The list of high-payroll Hollywood stars goes on and on, and Marvel fans have waited years to see them all team up together for the ultimate battle of good versus evil. In a recent interview with The Toronto Sun, Tom Holland said, “no one is ready for this movie. It needs no teasing. That movie literally needs no teasing. It’s going to be the biggest movie of all time.”

And he’s right; there is no doubt that Avengers: Infinity War will be one of the most craziest and unbelievable superhero movies of all time. Years of work and production have been put together leading up to this movie, and Marvel will finally make it all come together. The Avengers will be teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy to take on the mad-titan, Thanos, played by Josh Brolin. His goal is to obtain the six infinity stones which would give him complete dominion over the universe to bring it to an end. Five of the infinity stones have already been introduced in prior MCU films, with the sixth one’s whereabouts currently unknown. It is likely that many heroes will be killed off, not only because of the images seen in the trailer, but because it would make sense considering how long some of the characters have been playing their respective roles. Avengers: Infinity War is both the conclusion and beginning of a new chapter for the MCU and the biggest superhero blockbuster to date. It hits theaters April 27th in the UK and May 4th in the US.
