10.The New Mutants

The superhero horror movie. That’s right they are changing the game. This has power to pull a deadpool and change the way superhero movies are made. The cast looks great, the trailer was terrifying and the director seems very enthusiastic about the project. I can’t wait for this one.  It will be out on April 13.

9.Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

Fantastic Beasts was an alright movie. But with the sequels cast, the returning director and an actual sense of where it’s going this could be as good as The Deathly Hallows Part 2. Also this one may actually look likes it’s part of a series and not a stand alone.You can catch this one on November 16.

8.Deadpool 2

The first Deadpool was amazing. The cast is returning minus Collosus who is being voiced by someone new. Now they have the director from John Wick so that means more action and the screenwriters promised more comedy. Fox gave them a bigger budget so expect much much more of the first film. Deadpool slices it’s way into theaters on June 1.

7.Jurassic World Fallen: Kingdom

I thought the first Jurassic World was boring; however, the new trailer they put out looks great. The main cast is returning and they have a new director and Collin Trevorrow  (the director of the first) is producing. If the trailer is anything to go buy than expect they to be a fun movie.   Jurassic World comes out on June 22.

6.Ready player One

This one may be cheating. I had no idea this movie was happening, but then I saw the trailer and thought this looks awesome. With a story set in the future where VR has become so advanced that you can live in it, an epic quest, plus Steven Spielberg directing, sign me up.  This will be out on March 30.

5.Creed 2

Creed was awesome, no more needs to be said. Now the story will be focusing Adonis Creed vs Ivan Drago’s son and if you don’t know (spoiler alert for a 20 year old movie) Ivan Drago killed his dad. With Ryan Coogler producing this, it  should be as good as the first. Creed 2 punches it’s way into theaters on November 21.

4.Mortal Engines

This is my dark horse. You may have never heard of this movie, but you know the name behind it PETER JACKSON.  That’s right,  the man who did The Lord of the Rings is back with another acclaimed book trilogy.  Also they just released the teaser for the movie and that caused this to be moved up a few spots.  This will be out on December 14.

3.Black Panther

I did not care about this movie even after his appearance in Captain America: Civil War. But then they announced the director. Ryan Coogler you may not know his name but you know one of his films. He did Creed and instead of coming back to due the sequel he’s doing this and that trailer is just awesome.  Black Panther will be on screens February 12.

2.Avengers Infinity War

The big one. This is the ending of the MCU as we know it. That’s not even mentioning the reported budget for this thing. The budget is supposed to be 500 million dollars making it the most expensive movie ever made.  But think about that this has the biggest cast of characters of any movie in the MCU. The Avengers will return on May 5.

Dishonorable mention

Solo A Star Wars story

You may seem confused. It’s a Star Wars movie you say how could you not put it on the top 10. I have been following the production and it does not look good. The original directors were Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie and the Jump Street movies)  two of the best directors in the business, but Lucasfilm did not like their style and with two weeks left in filming fired them and replaced them with Ron Howard (Apollo 13) and reshot 90% movie for twice the budget. This was all in October and with how long it takes to finish CGI, it could be good or it could suck.  May 25 if you care.

1.The Incredibles 2

This was an obvious no brainer. The Incredibles came out over a decade ago and it is finally getting a sequel. The whole cast and creative team are back for this one. This has a very high chance of being the best sequel Pixar will ever make. You can catch this one when it comes out on June 15.
