Elton John Announces His Final World Tour

Fifty years since his rise to stardom Elton John has announced his final world tour. The singer/songwriter whose first album was released in 1969 and who has beautifully graced us with with some of the most popular songs ever written such as Tiny Dancer, Daniel and Candle in the Wind just to name a few. This tour will span five continents with 300 hundred shows over three years. Elron Johns tour will begin in Pennsylvania in 2018 and will close with a visit to 10 cities in the UK. Rumors had circulated that Elton John was calling it quits due to his health.

He had a wise and true rebuttler to this. Elton said  “if you’re going to do 300 shows, you’re not in ill health.” The real reason for his retirement are his children who he says he’d like to spend more time with, which ios tough to do as a constantly touring artist such as Elton himself. Elton john has also spoken about how these shows will be unlike any others he has done. He is quoted as saying, “It’s going to be the most produced, fantastic show I’ve ever done, It’s a way of saying thank you and going out with a bang. I don’t want to go out with a whimper.” Known for his flashy and eccentric outfits, he commissioned the creative director of Gucci, Alessandro Michele to design all of the outfits for this momentous tour. Elton said this decision came after talks with his partner David Furnish. Elton made it clear though that this is not the end of his career “I’m not stopping music,” he said. “I will hopefully be making more records, writing more music. Mostly I’ll be taking my kids to soccer games. But I’ll be creative, hopefully, until the day I die.” SO for all the fans who have listened to elton john to help them through tough times or to make great times even better, this is your chance to see the legend himself. After attending an Elton John concert ust one year ago, it is clearly apparent that he has the energy, skill, musicianship and a true dedication to his fans that is seen so rarely in the changing world of music.
