NFL Playoffs Summary

We are well into the NFL Playoffs and there is a lot to talk about pertaining to the outcomes of these games. Wildcard Weekend was one to remember and the Divisional Round did not disappoint as well. Two weeks ago, all 12 playoff teams remained, but as of the end of the Packers-Seahawks game, only four remain.

On the Saturday of Wildcard Weekend, the Buffalo Bills played the Houston Texans in Houston and the Tennessee Titans played the New England Patriots in Foxborough. The Houston Texans ended up erasing a 16-0 halftime deficit and defeating the Buffalo Bills 22-19 in overtime, as Kicker, Ka’imi Fairbairn hit the game-winning field goal for Houston. Later that night, the Tennessee Titans shocked the world and upset the New England Patriots. The Titans won the game 20-13 after a cornerback Logan Ryan sealed the game with an interception returned for a touchdown.

On the Sunday of Wildcard Weekend, the Minnesota Vikings played the New Orleans Saints in New Orleans and the Seattle Seahawks played the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia. The Minnesota Vikings were able to pull off the upset in New Orleans. They defeated the Saints on a game-winning touchdown catch by tight end Kyle Rudolph, in overtime. Later that day, the Seattle Seahawks were able to get the win on the road in Philadelphia against the Eagles. The Seahawks were seen as the favorite to win this game as the Eagles were by far the weakest playoff team and they went on to win 17-9.

The following weekend, on the Saturday of the Divisional round, the Minnesota Vikings played the San Francisco 49ers in San Francisco and the Tennessee Titans played the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore. The San Francisco 49ers took care of business at home and dominated the Minnesota Vikings 27-10. Later that night, the Tennessee Titans shocked the world once again when they upset the number one seeded Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore. The Titans flat out dominated the Ravens and limited the capabilities of quarterback Lamar Jackson. The Titans won the game 28-12.

On the Sunday of the Divisional round, the Houston Texans played the Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas City and the Seattle Seahawks played the Green Bay Packers in Green Bay. The Kansas City Chiefs were struck early by a slow start and found themselves down 24-0 at the end of the first quarter. This was until they had an offensive explosion and came all the way back in one quarter, they ended up winning the game by a dominating score of 51-31. Later that night, the Green Bay Packers took care of business at home and defeated the Seattle Seahawks in Green Bay. The Packers controlled the game for a large portion of it and even fended off a late-game Seattle comeback attempt. The Green Bay Packers finished off the Divisional round with the 28-23 win after receiving a favorable first down call that sealed the victory.

NFL Playoffs Predictions

Only the Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans, Green Bay Packers, and San Francisco 49ers remain in the Super Bowl hunt. The Titans will travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs for the AFC Championship and a trip to the Super Bowl. While the Packers will travel to San Francisco to play the 49ers for the NFC Championship and a trip to the Super Bowl.

I predict that the San Francisco 49ers will defeat the Green Bay Packers and advance to the Super Bowl. This is because the game will take place in San Francisco which will give the 49ers a huge advantage over the Packers. If this game was to take place in Green Bay, the 49ers might be in trouble. The final score of this game will be 28-24.

The Tennessee Titans will yet again upset and defeat the Kansas City Chiefs to advance to the Super Bowl to play the San Francisco 49ers. The Tennessee Titans are on fire as of late and have an insane amount of momentum going into this matchup. The Titans will want the win more than the Chiefs and pull out the victory in Kansas City. This win would cap off an improbable trip to the SuperBowl for this Titans team that was written off earlier in the season. The Titans defense is going to have a big game against an unstoppable Chiefs offense and the final score of this game will be 21-17.
