As we all know, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon July 20th, 1969 on live television for all to see. However, since it first was on television, it raised a lot of questions.  It made people think, “did they really land on the moon or was it just a huge hoax?” Some of you may be thinking, “yes, we did land on the moon, why would they lie about that?” It may be hard to believe why something like this may be lied about, but here’s the theory.  Back in the day, America really wanted to get to the moon first. They wanted to beat all the other countries, but didn’t really have the technology to do so at the moment. So they created a soundstage and pretended there was a space shuttle that landed on the moon. Many people believed what they saw; however as the rocket launched you could hear astronauts talking. According to my research, rockets are 140 to 150 decimals loud, extremely loud, therefore you wouldn’t be able to hear anything but the rocket. But this is only the beginning of unexplainable things.

    Eventually people found another piece of evidence called the C-rock. The C-rock is a rock that was on the moon, however this rock was different from the others. This rock had a perfectly carved C on it which isn’t existence in any type of space rock. In addition, this caused some people believe that it wasn’t a real space rock, but a prop that was labeled so people on the set would know where to put it. Nevertheless, they forgot to turn it over and the C was visible on the screen.

Furthermore, in space there is only one light source, the sun. Therefore all shadows in the film should be going in the same direction, but they weren’t. The shadows were facing in a bunch of different directions; therefore this suggests there was more than one light source similar to sound sets.

Last but not least, in the TIME news article, “the moon landings were fake” it says; “Film of Aldrin planting a waving American flag on the moon, which critics say proves that he was not in space. The flag’s movement, they say, clearly shows the presence of wind, which is impossible in a vacuum.”  basically what they’re saying is there is no air or wind in space so if they were really on the moon the flag would not be waving at all, proving again that it might just be fake.

So the moon landing, was it real or was it all just a hoax? Truth is it’s just a theory; it’s you who decides whether to believe it or not.
