Jurassic World Rebirth is the first movie in the new Jurassic World trilogy, and this new installation promises to bring new thrills, characters, and new dinosaurs. The film takes place five years after the latest movie, Jurassic World: Dominion. With this new way of living, new discoveries are made finding that certain dinosaur’s DNA can have life-saving benefits for mankind. With this discovery the film follows a covert operations expert, Zora Bennett(Scarlet Johanssen), as she is tasked with leading a team of specialists to extract the DNA from the three biggest dinosaurs, on an island research facility that belonged to the original Jurassic Park.
Accompanied by Duncan Kincaid(Mahershala Ali), Zora Bennet’s most trusted team member, and paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, this seemingly simple task grows harder as they come face to face with different species, and dangerous secrets that have been hidden from the world for decades. The film promises not only to bring back classic dinosaurs like the velociraptor, dilosophrous, and the T-Rex, but also introduce new hybrid dinosaurs including a Titanosaurus, a new species of Mosasaur, and a mutated D-Rex.
The overall fan reaction has been positive since the trailer was released. Many people seem to be excited to learn even more about the characters, and the fact that some moments that were not originally included in the first movie, but were in the book Jurassic Park, are going to be in the movie. Many fans hope though that this new film will resemble more of the Jurassic Park series, and less of the Jurassic World trilogy.
The movie is being directed by Gareth Edwards, who directed Godzilla(2014), and it is also being executive produced by Frank Marshall and Steven Speilberg, who directed the first Jurassic Park movie. The movie is set to release July 2nd, 2025, and the anticipation is only growing from here!
