Teresa (Tessa) Cortez is a Sophomore at Lindenhurst High School. She is fifteen years old and this is her first year writing for the Charles Street Times. She enjoys walking around with her friends, and alone too. Tessa likes to watch hockey, and she goes ice skating with her dad pretty often. Hockey is such a huge part of her life and her fathers, that they both joined the Blue and Orange Army (a group of Islanders fans who attend every home game). She is a music lover and plays bass, guitar, and a bit of the keyboard. Her music taste is a mixture of everything, and she can't go long without listening to music. Her two favorite artists are Kendrick Lamar and Fiona Apple.
