The Heckscher Museum of Art– Located in Huntington, the Heckscher Museum of art is near many shops and restaurants. They offer exhibitions that provide a fluctuating schedule full of different types of American art. It’s free to visit due to a generous grant given by The Bank of America. It’s a small museum that many have enjoyed and continue to enjoy!
Alex Ferron Gallery– This gallery is located on the North Fork, and it’s considered to be one of a kind. The gallery consists of many different art concepts such as paintings, mixed media, sculptures and so much more. This year they are celebrating 12 years of being open! Much of the art here is photography based, and they always have many new exhibitions coming up. In these exhibitions you are allowed to buy some of the art as well.
Huntington Arts Council– This place is very popular and includes many events and free summer concerts as well. They explain how the council there continues to “enrich the quality of life of Long Islanders”, as they work hard to promote all types of art created by local Long Islanders. They hope for the art to influence people of all ages! Along with having also aided the growth of different kinds of artists all over the island (established in 1963).
