She’s believable, even if the scenes setting-off her performance aren’t.”
The Life of the Party seems to be just another comedy movie with Melissa McCarthy that does not do very well and is not liked by many. This movie did not do a bad as some of her other movies, however, like The Boss from 2016 that has a 22% on Rotten Tomatoes. When you are seeing a movie with Melissa McCarthy, you should just expect a few funny jokes and be pretty decent as a movie as a whole.
