Adam Filipkowski is a 14 year old freshman at Lindenhurst High School. This is his first year in taking part in the Charles Street Times. Adam is a FreeLance writer and he is actually taking a Creative Writing class this year to discover his true voice in writing.  Adam can now speak in three languages including English, Spanish, and Polish.  Adam loves his Polish culture and history.  His favorite sport is basketball.  Adam wants to make those who feel small and bullied, to feel great and proud of themselves. He believes that everyone has their uniqueness and that is not a bad thing to possess. He says, “Being unique and different is something you should be proud of. You shouldn’t freak out over it and feel bad about yourself.”  He is participating in four clubs this year: Chess Club, L’Atelier, Charles Street Times, and Computer Club.  Another fact about Adam is he is left handed and the only left handed person in his entire family.  What Adam values the most in life is writing, chess, his Polish culture and pride, his family, friends, and most importantly his blessed left hand that he thanks god to every day.
