Sophia Scelza is seventeen years old and in her senior year of high school. She has taken her writing involvement from organizations such as Project Write Now and PBS Student Reporting Labs to publishing and editing works for the Charles St. Times. In college, she plans to major in Comparative Literature and English and continue her journalistic passions through a college newspaper. Sophia is the president of the Read and Give Project, committee board member of The Book Fairies, and president of UNICEF Lindenhurst. Although it is Sophia’s last year at Lindenhurst High School, she is excited to have the opportunity to write and edit more informational articles for everyone to read!
