2023 MTV Video Music Awards

2023+MTV+Video+Music+Awards

Did you miss this year’s VMAs? Don’t fret, here is everything you need to know regarding MTV’s 2023 video music awards. This year’s renowned award show included jaw-dropping performances from pop sensations Olivia Rodrigo, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Wayne, and more.

A highlight of the night was the band NSyncs’ surprise reunion. NSync was a wildly popular boy band in the late 90s. After a devastating ten years of inactivity, the five members, Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick, presented the Best Pop Video awards to Taylor Swift, a super-fan of the band herself. Moreover, the band gave Swift a friendship bracelet in honor of the Eras Tour, a series of shows highlighting Taylor’s albums or Eras.

Speaking of Taylor Swift, the pop hero won a colossal nine awards in one night, making her total award count 23, succeeding only Beyoncé, the current record holder with a prodigious amount of 26 VMAS. Taylor won awards for her masterful production of  “Anti-Hero”, Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year, “Midnights.”

Many skillful artists performed this year, including Olivia Rodrigo, who performed “Vampire” and “Get Him Back!” from her chart-climbing album “GUTS.” Likewise, the queen of rap and host of this year’s VMAs, Nicki Minaj, previewed an unnamed track from “Pink Friday 2″ and performed “Last Time I Saw You.” Doja Cat performed two eerie singles, “Paint The Town Red” and “Attention.” Many other talented artists performed, such as A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Demi Lovato, Megan Thee Stallion, NLE, and more.

This year’s VMAs were jam-packed with extraordinarily talented artists, catchy songs, and memorable interactions, making it one of the best!
