Luke Hemming’s New Album: “Boy”

Luke Hemmings New Album: Boy

On March 6th, Luke Hemmings announced that he would be releasing a new EP (extended play)  titled “Boy”, that is set to be released on April 26th. Fans have been waiting for a second project, following his first album “When Facing the Things We Turn Away From” that consisted of 12 tracks, and was released on August 13th, of 2021. This new EP will consist of 7 tracks, only one being named so far. The lead single off of this EP, released on March 6th, is titled “Shakes”.

Luke explained in detail that his new EP was created during a period of time in his life, when he was discovering his true self identity. He explains that even though he was surrounded by people, crowds, and loud cities, loneliness still lingered. He wrote some of these songs while on the road with his band, traveling from city to city. Although Luke Hemmings is in the band 5 Seconds of Summer, and participates as the lead vocalist and a guitarist, he still explores and ventures into music of his own as a solo artist as well. Within his new music, Luke Hemmings hopes that fans can find and recognize themselves in the lyrics and beats, and feel their own experiences.

On top of this upcoming release, it has been rumored that Luke will be going on a tour of his own, which is exciting fans all over the world. He is also performing at some music festivals in the spring, which fans are also looking forward to. Fans are excited to hear new music, and see what Luke Hemmings has in store for this year, and many to come. Many fans are waiting patiently to determine if this upcoming EP will have the same feel as his past music, or if it will be taking a new direction. Regardless, the release has been long awaited, and fans could not be more excited!
