Each team plays 8 matches after Matchday 8; the top 8 teams enter the round of 16’s. The 9th through 24th clubs enter a two legged playoff to reach the knockout stages. The last 12 teams are eliminated. Already starting strong is real madrid 2-1 against French club Marseille with Kylian Mbappe scoring a brace (2 goals). He’s a player to watch out for this season. Marcus Rashford scored a brace as well against Newcastle, shocking most people due to the goal being absolutely amazing or in soccer terms a “Banger!”
Another player to watch out for this champions league season is Ousmane Dembele. The MVP last season also last year’s winner he is a crucial player for Paris Saint-Germain. Top contenders for this Tournament include lots of clubs, like Liverpool FC The are a strong favorite to win for there EPL title and also their strong squad that included the likes of Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk, And Alison.
Another club is Arsenal Rivals with Liverpool and Strong threat to them as well. They also had an exciting run last year, knocking out 16 time champions league winner Real Madrid in the semi finals. Decal rice and Bukayo Saka look like taking it home. And of course Last year’s winner Paris Saint-Germain as former and reigning winners PSG are expected to have a great season defending their title.
A club with a lot of history FC Barcelona (Leonel Messi’s former club) hasn’t seen European success since 2015, but that doesn’t beat the fact that they have created some of the best players last season. Lamine Yamal, age 18, is coming out of an injury. This youngster is looking for it all. He is the reigning UEFA EUROPEAN champions with Spain and youngest player to start for Barcelona at age 15!
Raphinha is coming out of a super season, possibly a Ballon D’or winner worthy looking to win for his club. The Ballon D’or is the most prestigious award a player could win; it signifies that he is the best in the world.
