With the new year coming up, more movies are expected to be released! 2026 is looking to be full of exciting and intriguing movies for all, from kids to adults, with many different genres, including action, and Sci-fi.

First, the most anticipated movies. On December 18, of 2026, Avengers: Doomsday is likely to be the most popular movie of the year, and is based on the comics, in which the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men join together to fight against Dr. Doom. Also on December 18th of 2026, Dune: Part Three will be in theaters, which focuses on Paul Atredies’s consequences of his rise to power after 12 years as emperor since Dune: Part Two. On November 20th of 2026, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will show in theaters, the prequel set 24 years before the first Hunger Games, during the 50th Hunger Games. On June 19th 2026, Toy Story 5 is expected to release, with Woody and the other toys going against their newest threat, technology taking over playtime, with the reality of a changing world. On May 22nd of 2026, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu are coming to theaters, with a new mission for the New Republic, and is an addition to the Disney+ series. Lastly, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to release on July 31st of 2026, the sequel of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Peter is attempting to move on from the past, and also continue to be Spider-Man and protect his friends.
