Ranking Songs for Pop Lovers- John Mayer

John Mayer is a Grammy-award winning singer songwriter who has a total of seven albums and a wide number of singles. He writes and produces all of his songs and is an inspiration to many. He is known for his great guitar skills and being such an influential singer songwriter at the young age of 22. He also recently celebrated a birthday on October 16th. Let’s get to ranking!

  1. “Still Feel Like Your Man”

     This song was written and produced by John Mayer and was released on February 24, 2017. “Still Feel Like Your Man” is a featured song on John Mayer’s seventh studio album, The Search for Everything. The song hit number thirteen on the Billboard charts on March 18, 2017. It’s been stated that this song was written about Mayer’s ex-girlfriend and fiance, Katy Perry. This is such a great song with a few amazing guitar solos which are featured in almost all of John Mayer’s songs.

  1. “Heartbreak Warfare”

      This song was written and produced by John Mayer and was released on October 19, 2009. “Heartbreak Warfare” is featured on John Mayer’s fourth studio album, Battle Studies. The album Battle Studies won a Grammy-award for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. The song “Heartbreak Warfare” hit number four on the Billboard charts on April 17, 2010. The lyrics in this song are so greatly written. It really shows John Mayer’s true emotions. 

  1. “In Your Atmosphere”

       This song was written by John Mayer and it was an unreleased song. The song is on a live album named Where the Light Is. This live album was released on July 1, 2008 and it documents John Mayer’s performance at the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California. “In Your Atmosphere” portrays many emotions about love and hardships. The lyrics really put together a strong story.

  1. “Back to You” 

      This song was written by John Mayer and was released in 1999 as an EP on the album, Inside Wants Out, but it was mainly released on the album, Room for Squares on September 18, 2001. Room for Squares was then re-released on June 5, 2001. This album is John Mayer’s best-selling album which sold over 4,484,000 copies as of July 2014. He also won a Grammy-award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his song “Your Body Is A Wonderland” which is featured on Room for Squares. Sadly, the song “Back to You” didn’t make it on the Billboard charts. This song is so great. The guitar solo at the end of the song truly ties it all together.

  1. “I Don’t Trust Myself (With Loving You)”

      This song was written by John Mayer and was released on September 12, 2006. “I Don’t Trust Myself” is featured on John Mayer’s third studio album, Continuum. The album won a Grammy-award for Best Pop Vocal Album. The song sadly did not make it on the Billboard charts, but it is still a fantastic song. There are many different guitar solos that are featured in this song that just tie the whole piece together. Overall, this song is one of John Mayer’s best songs.
