Tyler Cooney is a senior at Lindenhurst High School, but is his first year writing for the Charles Street Times. Tyler pitches for the varsity baseball team and plays for the team pictured, the Long Island Titans, in the summer. When he writes, his interests are primarily geared toward sports, specifically baseball, and music, where hip-hop and rap pique his interest. Cooney’s favorite baseball team is the New York Yankees, and his favorite artists are Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar.
